Daniel Gaspard commence l'étude du piano avec Mme Suzanne Chevallier, fondatrice du concours International de piano d'Épinal et de François Cholé. À la suite de ses études en France, il étudie à la Musickhochschule de Stuttgart. Après avoir entrepris des tournées de concerts, il se prefectionne auprès Frederik Gevers (conservatoire Royal d'Anvers et membre du concours Reine Elisabeth) et de Grete Scherzer pendant plus de dix années et a été son unique élève. Pendant ses études de piano en Allemagne, il travaille la direction d'orchestre avec le Maestro Sergiu Celibidache.
Daniel Gaspard mêne une carrière de soliste et enseigne à l'université de Detmold. Ses concerts l'amènent en France, Suisse, Hollande, Amérique du Sud, États-Unis, Canada. Après 10 années consacrées à la construction de son propre voilier, Daniel Gaspard reprend son travail pianistique. Son répertoire: Préludes et Fugues de J.S.Bach (deuxième cahier), Mozart (19 Sonates), Beethoven les 32 sonates, Schuman, Chopin (Études op 25), Liszt, Debussy (préludes deuxième cahier), Sonate de Alban Berg, Schönberg, J. After studying at the National Conservatory (France) and the Stuttgart Musikhochschule, Daniel Gaspard studied with Frederik Gevers in Antwerp (Belgium) and with Grete Scherzer (pianist and wife of Rex Raabe) in Engelberg (Germany).
He gives piano recitals in Waldorf schools (Schoss Hamborn Rudolf Steiner Schule) located in Graz (Austria), Montreal (Canada), and elsewhere. Daniel Gaspard contributes to various conferences as a guest speaker and as a pianist (e.g. The Anthroposophical Society Conference, Gruissan, France; various events in Montreal, Canada; a conference (The evolution of the consciousness and the musical writing) hosted by M. Schmidt Brabant in San Diego, USA). He has participated in performances of eurythmy (expressive movement art established in the 20th century by Rudolf Steiner and Marie von Sivers) in Gruissan (France), Quebec (Canada), Stuttgart (Germany). In addition to a solo career, he has conducted orchestras with higher-level classes at the Rudolf Steiner School in Montreal (J.S. Bach’s cantatas). He has also taught piano at the University of Detmold (Germany). After devoting 10 years to building his own sailboat, Daniel Gaspard has resumed his career as a pianist. While travelling, he offers piano recitals during his sailing stop-overs. Daniel Gaspard will soon be arriving in your area with his sailboat and is offering to give a piano concert at your school.
